Our research and teaching focusses on sustainability including sustainable transition, design, circular economy, consumption and production, environmental assessment, technological assessment, energy planning, marine management, surveying, land use and problem based learning.

Our research and teaching focusses on sustainability including sustainable transition, design, circular economy, consumption and production, environmental assessment, technological assessment, energy planning, marine management, surveying, land use and problem based learning.

We provide research-based teaching in a number of educations. Among these, we have Urban, energy and environmental planning, Techno-Anthropology, Sustainable design and Surveying.

We offer a wide range of study programmes within engineering and science focusing on sustainability at our campuses in both Aalborg and Copenhagen.

The Doctoral Programme in Planning

The Doctoral Programme in Planning combines research activities within the the Department of Planning. PhD research activities are further strengthened by links with the Danish Building Research Institute and Center for Communication, Media and Information Technologies.
