Land Management and Governance

The group’s core focus is the property development proces, particularly planning law, property formation, and regulation, as well as the consequeces on property rights and property value.

The research group Land Management & Governance (LAND)  has the land development process at its center, especially the legal aspects of planning, property formation and the management of land and its resources, but also the consequences these have on property-economic and property rights. The main research areas are:

  • Planning, law and property rights
  • Property development, design and registration
  • Property data

The research done in the group has been ongoing since the beginning of Aalborg University, and has been a cornerstone in the education of the chartered surveyors long before that.
