Data-driven Climate Management

Data-driven Climate Management

Data-driven climate management requires adequate knowledge on how to acquire, process, synthesize and visualize geographical, climate, and socio-economic data related to the climate adaptation domain.
Thus, this module aims at delivering such knowledge for being able to understand climate change and its impact on different socioeconomic groups, business sectors, and ecosystems. Furthermore, it is
important to understand the uncertainties associated with climate data and how to take them into consideration while planning for climate actions.
The course will provide the necessary knowledge about the climate and geographical data ecosystem for understanding the risks and opportunities associated with climate change. This includes data from climate adaptation platforms e.g., www.klimatilpasning.dk, open data e.g., datafordeling.dk, and IPCC climate scenarios. In addition to learning about data, the participants from a wide range of disciplines will learn about the analytical (open-source) tools available for data processing, visualization, and data integration.
The course content will be tuned depending on the participants’ needs from the course, which will be inquired prior to attending the course.
