1st Nordic Symposium on Local Planning in Change
New Possibilities and Roles


Lillehammer, 14th-16th August 2003

The symposium was arranged by Forum for Planning Education, Lillehammer University College, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Nordic Centre for Spatial Development and Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research, in cooperation with Agricultural University of Norway, Stockholm University, Aalborg University, University of Oulu, City Hall of Reykjavik and Forum for Municipal and County Planners.

The symposium presented knowledge about status and challenges in the Nordic countries, and it provided a possibility to create Nordic networks. Participating doctoral students who both presented a paper and served as opponent for another’s paper received an academic certificate for points/credits.
