ECOPRODIGI seminar: Towards digital and eco-efficient ship- ping in the Baltic Sea region
For the past year, ECOPRODIGI project consortium has been actively working for a more eco-efficient and digitalised shipping sector in the Baltic Sea region.

As a culmination of the work done thus far, the project invites academic researchers, industry end-users, policy-makers and other interested parties to participate in the seminar “Heading towards digital and eco-efficient shipping in the Baltic Sea region”which in organised on 20 November, 2018 at the Aalborg University in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The seminar presents the objectives and first findings of the projects’ industry cases. Furthermore, keynote speeches by Lars Jensen(CEO, SeaIntelligence Consulting) and Markus Helavuori(Professional Secretary, HELCOM) provide interesting insight into digitalisation and eco-efficiency challenges in the shipping industry, and the role of environmental regulation in shaping the industry. Panel discussions moderated by Jakob Buus Petersen(Director, Vessel Performance Solutions) and Poul Woodall(Director for environment and sustainability, DFDS) focus on the impact of digitalisation on ship design, production and operations, and on the enablers and barriers for sustainable maritime industry.
The seminar is free of charge but due to limited seats, registration in advance is required.
