Study Programmes
The common denominator of the Department's study programmes is the interdisciplinary approach which includes both methods from Engineering and Social Sciences.

Oportunities for International Students
Students from abroad will find that there is a range of study opportunities for international students at the Department of Development and Planning. In general, a stay at the department (as well as at AAU in general) can be arranged as either:
- a full-time programme for exchange/Socrates students and other guest students wishing to study at AAU for 1 or 2 semesters (from a few months to a year) as an integrated part of the studies at their home university,
- or a degree programme for students wishing to follow an ordinary programme leading to at Master's degree.
Students are much welcomed in seeking further information concerning individual study opportunities through contacting the staff in relation to our department and in particular in relation to our research divisions.
The staff at the department will be helpful in aiding and advising international students on the possible contents of their studies at the department.
As for any practical issues, associated with a stay at the department (such as accommodation), students should contact the International Office at Aalborg University.
Socrates
One of several ways to establish a stay at the department is through the Socrates programme. Students should contact the local Socrates co-ordinator, Carsten Jahn Hansen, for further information. He will be helpful in answering questions.
